VEGAS

So I leave for Vegas with Jen, Amanda, Kate, Stephanie, Bridget, and Jade on Monday at 6:30 in the morning! We won't be back until Thursday evening! I'm super excited!!!! We are going to have a blast! Right now, I am packing... I have never been to Vegas so I am not sure what to expect... Does anyone have any thoughts/insight on things that I should bring or things that I should know before going? I would love any help!

Luckily, the collapsing tree was the only way Mark and I have been affected by the crazy weather these last few days... I hope you are all okay.... Please pray for those people who are out of their homes right now...

It is 7 in the morning... I cannot SLEEP!!! agghhh!! Stupid weather! Kayla, Jeremy, and I were supposed to do the UHHG yard sale today.. it is cancelled because of the terrible weather... Something that isn't cancelled is the outdoor wedding I'm going to today. Brandon and Danielle might end up deciding that indoors is a better choice... Either way I'm sure it will be beautiful. Mark and I seriously go to more weddings than anyone I know.. I guess we are just at that age.... ((22 and 24)).... Luckiliy, I LOVE THEM! I have such a blast at them! Can't wait to tell about B and D's! ;)

Mark needs a car... he sold his before I came home.. It was fine while I was gone because he could just drive my car. It is fine that the two of us are sharing a car right now because I am unemployed and gas is cheap... wait.. ignore the last part... I think that we should get one that is fuel efficient... Mark thinks we should get one that is "pimped out" with rims and a cool stereo system... he also requires that it look like a car straight out of The Fast and the Furious. As the accountant of the relationship, I have decided that we should spend $5,000 on it.... HELP....

So0o0oo0o0o..... today I called my parents house to see what everyone was doing on this beautiful summer day.... My brother, Evan, answered and said he was just hanging out, being bored all day. So I brought some kites over to their house and Evan, Nathan, and I attempted to fly them.....unsuccessfully.... I mean it was all kinds of terrible! I need some major lessons on flying kites... I'm just AWFUL.... Luckily the day wasn't a complete bust because I also brought over those little firework thingies that you throw on the ground and they pop/explode.. That totally entertained us for five minutes... haha*

THEN, I came back later to ride the tandem bike with my dad. For those of you who are unaware, the tandem bike is one that seats two people... Twice as dorky.... I was willing to ride it the 25 miles that the bike club was riding today... We made it three miles in before the back of the bike started going crazy and we realized that we had a flat tire. So Dad and I were completely stranded on the side of the road while the bike club continued the other 22 miles... sheesh.... My life is awesome... Luckily, we had our cell phone. Dad called Mom to come pick us (and the darn bike) up. Seriously, what did people use to do without cell phones? I have n0o0o0oo0 clue!!! So now I'm still at my parents' house waiting on my Dad to put brakes on our other bike so that I can ride that one.... Wish me luck....

DANGIT!!!!

So did anyone else have any damage to their house/car/etc. from the storm yesterday!?!!!!?!? I have never come closer to pooping my pants than that day! There is a huge limb that is over my backyard.... It covers the pool in the summer and we have attempted to have the power company cut it down so that we could lay out earlier than 2 in the afternoon. Well, yesterday, God took it down for us. I walked into our back room and looked out the back window only to find that dreaded LIMB THREE FEET FROM MY BACK WINDOW!!!!!!!! AGGGHHHH!!! I freaked out until I realized the limb only landed on a small part of the fence. It should be an easy fix. The limb couldn't have landed in a more perfect place.... Right between the pool and the fence....and the house.... sheesh... Thank GOD. Literally! I really think it will help sell the house in the long run.... No there is no shade over the pool on these warm summer days! Woohooo!!!
