Weekend Plans....

This weekend I am traveling to Poland... The place I am most interested in as Auschwitz. I am going there tomorrow. I know it is going to be a crazy experience. I just cannot imagine the terrible things that happened there. How ignorant can people be? It is so sad. I went to the website for the famous Nazi Death Camp (http://www.auschwitz.org.pl/) and read EVERYTHING on it. I am as mentally prepared as I can be.... I cannot wait to share stories...

Latino Party at Remix

So last night was the Latino Part at Club Remix... I had a great time.... For 210 CZK (about 11 dollars) I got five beers and two Tequilla Sunrises (the drink of the night....) haha* Gotta love it here! :) The most interesting part of the night came when we were all on the dance floor.... I had another 'outsider' moment.... A song came on that EVERYONE KNEW..... Except the Americans, of course... I'm pretty sure it wasn't in English, but I danced while everyone sang.... ((I just took a sip of my pivo and sighed.....))

Thank you

I worked at Union Hospital in Medical Records for over six years! Wow! I had to quit when I left to study abroad at the end of January. I was really sad about it! I got to meet s0o0o0 many great people from that department! I still talk to A LOT of the people from Union Hospital! They really are part of my family and I hope they will be a part of the rest of my life! I was s0o0o0o happy to get a card from them yesterday! A lot of people from the department signed the card! There were also fun little Family Feud games in the card! It really made me miss my Medical Records family! They were such a big part of my life! ((*They are all party animals, too! Can't wait for my wedding in August!!!*)) haha* Love you and miss you all!! Thanks so much for the card! It really means a lot to know you guys are still thinking of me!! XOXO from Czechy!

So we did this to Brandon the other day....He is such a good Wisconsin boy...haha* Rach and I were in one of the little cafes in town with Brandon and Becky. We decided to have Brandon pose with my Easter stick... The poor kid just kept holding...and holding....and holding...finally, Rachel felt bad and turned off the camera and told him... I bet we could have gotten him for at LEAST another minute or two! BAHAAHAHHAHA

Alright

So, my Mom thinks the tangent thing was a little too much. Sorry if you think it is harsh. I just don't like it when people talk about dumb stuff.. I will try to be nicer in the future.. If you know me, you know that I say a lot of things for comic relief.. Sometimes I go on long, semi-offensive or innappropriate tangents.....This is not one of them... Okay, you decide......BAHHAHAHAHA* I'm just having too much fun with this on this side of the world... Sorry, Mom....

CONGRATS

ONE OF MY BESTEST FRIENDS IN THE WHOLE WORLD GOT ENGAGED LAST WEEK! CONGRATS BRIDGET AND JASON! LOVE YOU BOTH! :) WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO BE MAKING BABIES?!?!? I LOVE BABIES!! WOOHOO!!! I BET THEY WILL HAVE BLONDE HAIR AND BLUE EYES! CAN'T WAIT!!

Tangent

((This is not directed at one person.. Most people are guilty of it....))
I'm not exactly one to live by the book... Rules are merely suggestions... That is why I hate it when people ask questions... For example... After you have been dating someone a while, people ask "When are you getting engaged?" After you get engaged, people ask "When are you getting married?" After you get married (and in my case BEFORE I'M EVEN FREAKING MARRIED) people ask, "When are you thinking about having children?" After you have the first nugget, people ask, "When is the next one going to come?" I have one response....SHUT THE ..... UP! Thanks for asking! NOT! It seriously could not TICK ME OFF more than when people try to plan my life! I'm on the other side of the FREAKING world and people are asking me about kids.... They will come....one day....hopefully.... worry about yourself! If you want kids, make them YOURSELF! Why do things (and people) have to have a plan for what is going to happen in OTHER PEOPLE'S LIVES!!?!?!??! When people ask about Mark and I having kids, I want to punch them right in the forehead and walk away. [WARNING: I'm am absolutely positive this is going to be my response to the next person who asks the question.] Nothing makes me want to have children LESS than YOU worrying about it..... Thanks for listening... PS- If you are offended by this tangent, please stop reading my blog and never talk to me again... Thanks.

Easter Sidenote...

Oh yeah...Remember how I said that I got 63 buckaroos last year in the annual Easter Egg Hunt? That future husband of mine got a whoppin 22 dollars yesterday! Way to go, Mark! NOT!

Easter in the Haute

So my family celebrated Easter without me yesterday. Boo.. :) Just kidding... I got a great call from them and got to talk to them all for about an hour last night! It was great! The greatest part was so good that I had to record it! Czech it out! Love you guys! Miss you too! Happy Easter!

Bring it on....

I'm stoked (and prepared) for the beatings that are going to happen tomorrow.. I cannot wait to give a full report.. Until then, here are two pics from when Becky, Rachel, and I bought our weapons on the streets of Brno yesterday.. :)

MmMmMmMmMmM

I can't pass these up...ever.. They are so easy to make and so darn cheap....There is a little bakery in Brno that sells these GREAT waffle desserts for 82 cents.... Every time I pass the bakery, I HAVE to have one! ((I like to support local business, you know?)) After lunch, Becky, Rach, and I stopped in for one... The ingredients are: Waffle, Strawberry Jam, Chocolate syrup, and whipped cream....AHHH....totally worth 82 cents... I would venture to say I would even give them a dollar for it! :)

But Seriously, what does this sign mean?

While Becky, Rach, and I were on our way to lunch yesterday, we saw a sign with some words we understood! Unfortunately, it was still a bizarre situation... Czech out this sign! BAHAHAHHA

But Seriously, what was this guy doing on the tram?

Not sure what the deal with this was, but this guy was on the tram on my way to church this morning... Hmmmm... He was wearing mis-matched camos, a bandana, and was carrying A RIFLE in a blue trash bag!!!! Needless to say, I was scared for my life this Easter morning at 8:30... But not too scared to take a pic when he wasn't looking....haha* I'm such a rebel... Luckily he didn't shoot anyone.....While I was on the tram anyways...

Easter Sunday Service In Czechy

So Rachel and I went to the nine a.m. service at the church on the top of the hill today.. I was so excited to go! On the walk to the church, we heard the church bells ringing and I took a video! I was ready! It was quite an experience.. And of course I was taking notes diligently so that I could blog about it later.. :) Let's start off with the fact that it was a Catholic service.. Which meant I was prepared for a two hour sermon.... Turns out we were home by 10:30, which wasn't too bad! The thing about being at the one hour service was the fact that everything was in CZECHY! :) Hymns, prayers, responses, sermons, etc....Czech, Czech, Czech... Czech out the pic I took of one of the hymns. Try to sing bad boy.. I certainly did.. haha* We did sing one hymn three different times. It had the word "Aleluja" 32 times in the song, so I know I got that part right... I also understood the word "Amen" throughout the service... At a few points in the service, the priest would do this follow the leader type of thing where he would say something and we would repeat it.. On the tram after the service, I was talking to Rachel.. She informed me that we were, in fact, not repeating what the priest said.. BAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! I'm such a fool! :) Okay, to give me some kind of credit, I wouldn't understand a thing in a Catholic church back in the States, let alone in the CZECH REPUBLIC! There was so much standing, sitting, kneeling, and responding that I was pretty much lost the whole time.... Speaking of lost, I bet the 'regulars' were thrown off today when Rachel and I came in. I don't know about at your church, but at my parents' church back home, if someone sits in a pew that they usually don't sit in, people don't know what to do! It is quite comical! I love it! haha* I'm guessing that's pretty standard, though.. Speaking of the pews, they are really old, remember.. I was afraid that I was going to break them with all the sitting, standing, and kneeling I was doing... ((Luckily I didn't)).. But the pews were built at SERIOUSLY a 95 degree angle! haha* It was hilarious! I think it was a tactic to keep the people awake.. :) It sure worked for me! All in all, I had a great time at church today! Being with other Christians on such a wonderful day is great! The church was absolutely breathtaking as well. I do miss my family and friends from back home though... Wish I could hear Mom and Dad sing "Up from the Grave He Arose...." :) Love you and miss you guys! Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!

Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior, waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior, vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior; he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave he arose; with a mighty triumph o'er his foes; he arose a victor from the dark domain, and he lives forever, with his saints to reign. He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

PS- I woke up my roommate this morning by beating her with the Easter stick... It was appropriate! :) HAPPY EASTER!! LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU ALL!! [Pic from Greece[
