DAY TWO: Death Tour '08
So DEATH TOUR '08, Day Two was yesterday. A large group of international students traveled to Kutna Hora, which is a curch decorated completely of human bones! EWW! The church was on a sacred burial ground where EVERYONE wanted their body laid to rest. After a while, 4,000 bodies were on this little plot of land. We took the train (about three hours total) to get to the church. ((It was a nine dollar round trip train ride!)) It was breathtaking to walk into the church and see all the skulls! They were EVERYWHERE! The chandelier is made from every bone in the human body! Wow! It was really weird to think that these bones were real. After Friday's Krypta experience, this seemed fake to us. I really tried to appreciate that each skull was a person with a story. Wow....
it's weird to think that you were in a church with so many 'dead bodies'... even if they were just bones... you are right, they all probably have a story... crazy...
