Welcome, Lilly!

Lilly Baker was born at 5:07 pm! Woot! I got to hold her when she was three hours old! Wow! Of course she is absolutely beautiful... 7 something pounds, 21 inches..... Tom and Amber were sooo adorable and so happy! Lilly is going to be quite a spoiled little girl. Her two Grandmas, Lisa and Tammy, were very proud as well!

Mark and I went to visit Lilly while we were in Terre Haute last weekend... ((This is part of a whole other blogging thing... just wait...)) We got to Tammy's house and Amber's family was there. Her dad was holding Lilly. I walked over to Lilly and starting oohhing and aahhing at her. Then something that changed my outlook on babies happened...

SHE LET ONE RIP!

I'm talking a super loud fart! I couldn't believe it! I was in shock and was wondering WHICH ADULT that I was surrounded by just cut the cheese with no discretion whatsoever. I started asking who did it and looking around with the most disgusted look on my face EVER. They all pointed to the new adorable baby...

Now, don't get me wrong... I know that babies are like... real human beings.. I know that sometimes it is natural to poo your pants when you are a baby. And puke all over the place every time you eat... I am also aware that sometimes when people toot, they try to blame the nearest unknowing and innocent being. I have even been one of the people to blame the dog on occassion... But a BABY? C'mon! Tammy has three cats and a dog... Why blame the baby?!!?! She's only freaking three days old!

Until I realize ... it was the baby... My second impression of Lilly is different than my first... Babies are real people except they don't care what bodily functions they exude when.... When you gotta go, you gotta go....

And at that point... we had to go....

No grandchildren from me for a while.... Ew......
