Responsibility

Wednesday night I was attempting to put the finishing touches on my case study for one of my classes.. You know….One of those that I need to GRADUATE!!! My roommate was still in Ireland visiting one of her friends, so I had the room to myself, quietly but diligently working on my paper… There was a knock at the door… It was Matt wanting to know if I was going out… I was in my pajamas and told him “No, I have to work on my paper so that I can graduate!” He tried to convince me, but I held strong. I needed to work on the assignment.
As soon as Matt had left, Wadih came up and we had essentially the same conversation. Except it went a little more like this:
Wadih: “Going out tonight?”
Me: “Can’t… I have homework to do.”
Wadih: [Rolling Eyes] “We leave in 30 minutes…..Get dressed” [Walking away]
Me: “I can’t…. I have to do home… Did you hear me? … I need to gradu…. Alright…”
Yep! I got convinced to go out on Wednesday! Wadih and I went to Club Remix [standard.] This week’s theme was “B- Party.” You had to go dressed as something that started with a ‘B.’ Wadih wore a blue shirt…”Blue”…. I wore….who cares… I was supposed to be doing my HOMEWORK so that I could GRADUATE but instead I was at the club… Obvi, I went as a “Badass.” ;) That sure entertained my European friends… I ended up taking the four o’clock bus home and staying up until about 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning talking to Rachel, fresh off the plane from Ireland…. 0o0o0o0o… There is something so badass about going to sleep when the sun is rising and the birds are chirping… Oh yeah…. I successfully completed the case study the next day, Mom… ;-)

Dude, I'm so jealous. I can't stay up past 11:00 anymore. Normally my bed time is 8-ish...I miss those days!!!!
Glad to see that you've got your priorities in check. I'm going to tell you what I want to go back in time and tell the pre-pregnant Lauren: "Live, dammit!! LIVE!!!"
