In Sparta I felt a real connection with history for the first time. Athens was very 'touristy' to me. Don't get me wrong.. It was amazing... but very much for tourists.. Sparta seemed more untouched... Sitting on some of the ruins and looking up at the mountains.... wondering what they saw thousands of years ago... They were there... It was a little surreal... I have to admit....
