Revolts


So in 1989, Czech overcame Communism. This was due greatly to revolts by college students. I got to see the street that the students walked down in protest that year! It was a really cool experience! That is when government officials decided to make Czechoslovakia two different countries: The Czech Republic and Slovakia. Our guide, Jan, told us that this split happened without consulting anyone in the public in the country. Another interesting point was how this split happened in merely five months. Wow..... I can't imagine something like this happening...
