Mark signed us both up for the Giest Mini Marathon for May 17. That is the day after I get home. I arrive to Indianapolis at 8:00 at night on Friday. The race is twelve hours later in Indy.... wow... I think there are two possible explanations for Mark wanting to do this race...
1) This ensures my return on May 16. Mark knows there is no way that I can pass up the opportunity to run a mini marathon. Also, by telling me he will run it with me, this encourages me even more and makes me more motivated for the race! ((He is a much faster runner than I am...))
2) Mark is afraid that I'm going to come home with a little extra weight on me. He thinks that, by signing me up for a mini marathon twelve hours after I arrive to the states, I will HAVE to run while I am here and train a lot! ((He is right))... This is his nice way of getting me motivated to come home..

i have only ran twice since i agreed to this... i am going to be strugglin. i will be the one with the extra weight when you return. i hope you will still love me though.
