So in Greece, our group wanted to find a way to act even dumber... So we came up with using phrases in situations where they didn't apply at all.. Try it sometime! The looks are amazing! ((And well worth it!!)) :)
When someone tells you something, just respond with, "Well, you know what they say...." Examples of phrases to use in any situation are:
You can't have your cake and eat it too
When in Rome
It's all Greek to me
The grass is greener on the other side
Let's kill two birds with one stone
Don't count your chickens before they hatch
Don't put all your eggs in one basket
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade
It's not over until the fat lady sings
There is no use crying over spilled milk
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicince go down
Agree to Disagree
You can't teach an old dog new tricks
There are other fish in the sea
If the shoe fits, wear it...
Enjoy! :) Tiff

On my desk calendar of Corporate BS, I see some of these types of sayings- and some that I USE- how embarassing is that? Last week, I learned that 'It is what it is' is just an inane way to make noise and say nothing....I KNOW you have heard me use that- but I thought I was being philosophical!!! ;-)
